Censored

My Granny grew up dutch reformed in Holland, Michigan. Meaning she grew up very strict. In fact it was considered a sin to go to a movie. She has told me that the first movie she went to was a Shirly Temple movie. She had begged her Mother to go for some time and eventually her mother in her wisdom told Granny the decision was between her and God. So, my grandmother made the decision to go see the child star Shirley Temple. Granny says that she felt very guilty the entire time she was at the movie. To this day Granny doesn't watch movies. I don't think she still thinks it's a sin to watch a movie, but none the less she doesn't watch them. What she does watch besides Wheel of Fortune, Jeporday and endless amounts of news is Dancing with the Stars. I believe she lives vicariously through those beautiful dancers, however, she does regularily comment on how scantily clothed they are. I would agree that the clothes are quite revealing. So, this is where I'm perplexed. I now live in the bedroom she shared with her husband for the last 20 years. It still looks exactly the same, you wouldn't even know I lived there except that I don't make my bed quite as nicely as she does. In this room there are pink walls with a lovely floral border print and matching bedspread, family portraits, and on the walls are hanging 4 pictures of topless women. 4 pictures I see before going to sleep. 4 pictures she looked at for almost 25 years. The pictures have never been talked about, no one has asked why this conservative christian women would allow such pictures to be hung on the wall for everyone to see, yet there they are. Maybe one day I'll ask.
