"Pet bull"

My cell rings at approximately 7am. It's Granny (from downstairs) she is very worked up because apparently there is a "Pet bull" in the backyard. She says I need to pray because the neighbor has come over to get the Pet bull out of the yard and of course the Pet bull might attack her. Understandably she's worked up, I would be too if there were truly a Pet Bull in our yard. Since Granny is prone to exaggeration and mishearing people, I figured it wasn't a real Pit bull, but probably some other breed. I continued getting ready for work while saying a quick prayer for the Neighbor. By breakfast the dog was still hanging around and Granny called the Humane Society. They were no help at all so she called the Police Department. I believe the Police Department was kind enough to put in a call to the Humane Society. I still however, having not seen the dog, was not convinced there was a Pit bull in the yard.I decided to bravely leave the house and walk to my car....until I opened the door to see the dog staring at me with its one blue eye and one brown eye! I quickly decided it wasn't the right time to leave for work. That's when I went upstairs logged onto my computer and googled Pit bull. Sure enough that's exactly what it was! After the Humane Society showed up and took the pit bull away it was finally safe to go to work. Is that an excused tardy?

ABSOLUTELY it's acceptable! Our last encounter with a PITBULL was horrible! Our dog was attacked about a year ago, it wasn't pretty at 1700.00 later! Luckily we didn't pay the owners did, but still lots of nightmares for our little girl! STAY AWAY!

It would have been funny if there was at "PET BULL" in your yard and you had to call Tony! I would have laughed!
