Priceless Heirloom

You never know what priceless treasures will be found around a house as old as this one. With the age of the house and Granny, it would be safe to say that something around here has got to be worth some money. Some priceless heirloom we can take to the Antique's Road Show, have appraised and walk off much richer then when we came. After all, Granny did collect every Beanie Baby manufactured in hopes that she would one day live in luxury. Only recently she gave that collection to the neighbor's daughter. She did collect The Dicken's Christmas Village, I think that might be worth something, except for the pieces she keeps in the garden window year round. They're probably too faded to pass the inspection of the Appraisers. Of course there is this Persian Rug kept in front of the back doorway. It's unfortunate my sister dropped a pan of melted chocolate squares on it. That's how we found out it's "worth." After dropping the pan my sister scrambled to get it cleaned up before Old Eagle Eye saw what had happened. However getting melted chocolate out of the carpet isn't an easy task. When the scrubbing was finished and a stain was left behind she found it necessary to inform Granny of the accident. Poor Granny was quite distraught that the expensive Persian Rug was now stained. I guess she couldn't see the other stains that were already there or the dirt from it being in the high traffic area. It was later that evening on my way upstairs that I realized the Persian Rug from the back door is really just the remnant left over from the carpet runner going upstairs--not a priceless heirloom.
